Accessibility Statement
Kneez™ | www.kneezpants.com
Effective Date: 5/4/2026 | Last Reviewed: 5/4/2026
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Kneez™ (“Kneez,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that all customers — including those with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, or other disabilities — should be able to browse, learn about, and purchase our reinforced-knee children’s apparel through our website, www.kneezpants.com (the “Site”). We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
2. Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Our target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are also actively working toward conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as those updated criteria are adopted as the prevailing industry standard.
The Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are aware of these gaps and are actively working to remediate them. See Section 7 (Limitations and Alternatives) below.
3. Measures We Take to Support Accessibility
Kneez™ takes the following measures to support accessibility of the Site:
• Treat accessibility as a stated priority in our website governance and update cycles.
• Include accessibility review when adding new pages, products, or third-party Shopify applications.
• Use Shopify’s accessibility-conscious theme infrastructure as our baseline platform.
• Test the Site using automated accessibility scanning tools, including but not limited to axe-core, WAVE, and Lighthouse.
• Conduct manual keyboard-only testing on core user flows, including product browsing, product detail, cart, and checkout.
• Conduct manual screen-reader testing on core user flows.
• Maintain alternative text on meaningful images, programmatically associated form labels, and proper semantic structure including heading hierarchy and landmark regions.
• Provide a clear, easily reached, and monitored contact channel for accessibility feedback (see Section 8).
• Maintain an internal remediation log documenting accessibility issues identified and the steps taken to resolve them. (created 5/4/2026)
4. Standards Targeted
Our targeted technical standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We are tracking WCAG 2.2 and the U.S. Department of Justice’s April 24, 2024 final rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act for guidance on the direction of digital accessibility regulation in the United States.
To the extent the Site serves European Union consumers, we also acknowledge the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) as it applies to e-commerce providers.
5. Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology
The Site is designed to be compatible with the following:
• Recent versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge on desktop.
• Recent versions of Apple Safari (iOS) and Google Chrome (Android) on mobile devices.
• Recent versions of the NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screen readers.
• Standard keyboard-only navigation.
The Site may not function as expected on outdated browsers or outdated assistive technology.
6. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of the Site relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your device:
• HTML
• WAI-ARIA
• CSS
• JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
7. Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our ongoing efforts, some content on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Known and acknowledged limitations include:
• Third-party content and apps: The Site is hosted on Shopify and uses third-party Shopify applications for functions including but not limited to checkout, payment processing, customer reviews, customer support, analytics, and email collection. We do not control the underlying code of these third-party applications. We monitor such third-party content for accessibility and select vendors that prioritize accessibility where commercially practicable.
• User-generated content: Where the Site displays content submitted by customers (such as product reviews or community submissions), that content is not authored by Kneez™ and may not always meet our accessibility goals.
• Embedded media: Embedded social media posts, videos, or other third-party media may not always include captions, transcripts, or alternative text generated by their creators.
• Legacy content: Some older blog posts, product images, or marketing materials may pre-date our current accessibility standards and may not yet contain alternative text, captions, or other accessibility features. We are remediating legacy content on a rolling basis.
If you encounter content that is not accessible, please contact us using the information in Section 8. We will provide the requested information in an accessible format upon request and will work to remediate the underlying issue.
8. Feedback and Contact Information

Response timelines. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within three (3) business days and to provide a substantive response within ten (10) business days. If a fix requires more time, we will inform you of the expected timeline and, where reasonably possible, provide an accessible alternative method to access the requested information or complete the requested transaction in the meantime.
9. Formal Complaints and Requests for Accommodation

10. Assessment and Ongoing Improvement
Kneez™ assesses the accessibility of the Site through a combination of methods, which may include:
• Automated accessibility scanning tools (such as axe-core, WAVE, and Lighthouse) run on a regular cadence.
• Manual keyboard-only and screen-reader testing of core user flows.
• Periodic third-party accessibility review.
• Ongoing review of customer feedback received through the channels described in Section 8.
• Tracking and remediation of issues in an internal accessibility log.
We review and update this Accessibility Statement at least annually, and whenever we make material changes to the Site that could affect accessibility.
11. No Waiver; Disclaimer
This Accessibility Statement reflects our good-faith efforts and ongoing commitment to digital accessibility. It does not constitute a representation, warranty, or legal guarantee that every page, feature, image, or third-party integration on the Site is or will at all times be free from accessibility barriers. Web content is dynamic, and the Site may contain temporary inaccessibility’s as we add new products, content, applications, or features. We rely in part on user feedback to identify and resolve issues that internal testing has not detected, and we encourage users who encounter such issues to contact us as described above so that we may address them.
Nothing in this Accessibility Statement is intended to waive any right, defense, or limitation of liability available to Kneez™ under applicable law.
